The parent portal functionality allows you to communicate with your customers via the parent portal web site, allowing you to share information regarding your nursery setting and the children’s activities whilst in your care. The parent portal comprises of a secure web site that your children’s parent/guardians can access and a publish/synchronise facility built into KinderSoft.

The portal currently provides the following views:-

	Messages, group or individual messaging
	EYFS observations (electronic version of your learning journey)
	Details of the information you hold on children, parents and contacts
	Bookings and holiday requests. The portal will allow your parent to request booking changes, ad-hoc bookings and holiday requests
	Financial account history view, very similar to the account history view in KinderSoft
	PDF copies of invoices
	Gallery, any pictures associated with your children in KinderSoft can be uploaded to the parent portal web site to share with your children’s parent/guardians
	Your setting contact details

The information that you publish is fully configurable from the publish/synchronise page in KinderSoft. Your customers will only be able to view their own children’s information and gallery pictures (the only exception to this is group pictures via the EYFS observation function will be shared with all group children).
